Guardians of the Forest tells the story of a volunteer environmental monitoring force of the Guajajara tribe in the Brazilian Amazon. The Guardians, led by indigenous activist Sônia Guajajara, struggle to leverage what few resources they have to monitor and protect their forest from illegal logging. Directed by Ben Ross and Brittany Neff, and produced in partnership with UNVR, Guardians of the Forest premieres in April at EarthXFilm and Hot Docs. 

"bethlehem" premieres at true/false fest

A new VR doc by Jesse Epstein and Andrea Rollefson will premiere at the amazing True/False documentary film festival, March 1st to 3rd. Bethlehem explores the once booming steel mill in which workers fabricated the materials for the Empire State Building and the Golden Gate Bridge. The sprawling Bethlehem Plant has since been converted into a casino. This poetic exploration of a changing city confronts the past and future of the American workforce. 

The National: Something Out of Nothing

Scenic director Marshall Curry has collaborated on a new VR documentary with The New York Times about the band The National. Join them onstage during an epic performance in Copenhagen and in their Hudson Valley recording studio as they create their new album, “Sleep Well Beast.”
